Photoshop is way overpowered and expensive for teens editing myspace pics. Photoshop Elements would be much better or even Corel Paint Shop Pro.
Anyway just play around with the basic effects. There are loads of tutorials on the internet too. I do quite advanced editing but its not something I can tell you how to do on a paragraph on here.
Photoshop have 2 version one is standard and one is Extended version.
Standard Photoshop it good for you since it cost more cheap than Extended version.

and be crative like adjusting “hue and saturation” and add some special effect, try to watch in youtube to see some samples.
There’s only one Photoshop.. Adobe produces it..
But there’s a freeware alternative though.. The GIMP.
