I dress nice, I try not to look stupid, I don’t have much achne, I don’t wear make up because I can’t, but I play basketball.

It could be several factors, but it seems that you aren’t very outgoing, and not as outgoing as your friend…that’s for sure. But, if you live in a majority white town and those black guys have been used to white girls, they may have developed a preference for white girls because they are not around as many black girls. Or, it could mean that there are more white girls for them to choose from overall. I presume there are more white guys for you to choose from than the black guys. The difficulty you have seems to come from the fact that you prefer black guys, but there aren’t many to choose from, but they prefer white girls because there are more white girls for them to choose from. It could be that you are just not outgoing enough, or it could just be the case that the small number of black guys are just not compatible with you. I have been in your shoes, but eventually you will realize that the color may be a preference, yet you can find lots of attractive white guys to hang out with, and you have more of them to choose from in your town. You should consider it until you move out of that town. Give it some thought.
What you can do is try to talk to them while your friend is not there, or went some where a while. Also ask them what they like to do on there spare time. Find common ground. Talk about experiences that you have had on the subject. Smile a lot when you are around them. Smiling is a symbol that you are interested. Well thats about all the advice I have on that subject.
