I was trying to do it for a long long time however could not find any application software for the same. But recently I found one software for free that can convert video formats and also download the videos from Youtube, you just have to copy the URL of the video and paste it to that software. (URL is the webpage address of that video)

This is actually quite simple. And FREE. I’m going to assume you’re using Firefox as your browser. If not, you’ll need to for this.Get it free at http://www.mozilla.com.
